For the past hour I have been searching forums/Google for info about teleconverters on a Sigma lens.
Plenty of shops/firms will sell you them but I am looking for someone on here who uses them and what do you think about them.
My question is this, will the Nikon 1.4 and X2 converters work with a Sigma telephoto lens.
I am not worried about AF working, just the sharpness. :thankyou:

Here is a link to a review of the Nikon TC's and Kenko TC's LINK

You will see a link on this page to an article on how to adapt the Nikon TC to take a Sigma HSM lens, without modification the Sigma will not physically fit on the Nikon TC.

Although not answering the question, I would like to add that I would warn you against using a Kenko TC with a Sigma HSM lens on a Nikon body. I had severe problems with it and after a lot of messing about I was told that Kenko knew about the problem, but weren't going to do anything about it.

The rule of thumb seems to be use the same brand TC as the lens it is going to be attached to. :)

I knew this was the site for me, best on the web  Martyn you are a star (where the hell do you get all this information from?) also Alasdair, thank you for your tips.
I have the Nikon 1.4 and the 2 times, because I use them on my 70-200 I will not be messing with them. I shall get myself a Siggi X2 converter, they do not cost the earth and its the best thing all round.
Thanks again for your valuable inputs.
