Hi,

I recently upgraded to a 650d and it looks like my di622 is not compatible with it, however there is a mark 2 version out which looks like it should work and I would be able to use the wireless flash trigger from the 650d with it?

I'm going to need a flash early in October so it looks like next months pay will go on ones of these potentially.

Does anyone have any experience using one of these on a 650d?

That's a bit of a disaster for me as well. I got a Di622 for the wife a while back and she's only used it twice on her 550D before getting an upgrade to a 650D and after just trying it on the 650D I'm now in the same boat. Trouble is it wont even work correctly with my 60D without a firmware update either. I've just emailed my local L.C.E. to see if they can do the update but if not then it looks like I've got a mint Di622 that's going spare.

I've got a Di866 Professional (MkI) that works fine with the 650D, the 60D and my 5D3 so I might just end up getting a new Di866 and giving the wife the old one as she hardly ever uses the flash anyway. Then I can use the Di866 MkII for the 60D and a 580EX II for my 5D3 and sell the Di622 on ebay.
 
I have just bought a 650D lovely camera but will not work with original Di622 only used the flash twice would have been cheaper to hire one.Quite a decent flash but Canon have found a way to disable it should do wonders for sales though.Just joined love the forum and really like it.
 
Be worth keeping it to use as a slave/ off camera flash/ second flash with wireless triggers. You can get second hand canon flashes like the 430ex, 550ex and 580ex quite cheaply second hand to use as a master

Can't the Nissin distributors (Kenro) upgrade the firmware for new cameras?
 
Hi, anyone find a solution to work the Nissin di622 together with the Canon 650D?
On the Nissin web site di622 will support 600D.
I don't find any differences between the 600d and 650D.
