I have 2 camera bodies since the addition of my 5DII. Lenses that were focusing fine on my 50D are back focusing on the 5DII unfortunatly past the point the micro adjust can help.

My sigma 70-200 was calibrated to the 50D and my 24-70 was adjusted with the micro adjust feature. (which is now great on the 5DII with no adjustment. I have now noticed my 150mm macro is out on the 5DII however just about recoverable with micro adjust.

I am going to have to go through my lenses on by one. Can sigma/Canon adjust thier lenses to work with 2 bodies? Is it worth trying another 5DII to see if i may have been unlucky? can 2 Bodies be that far apart in terms of tollerance?

If its that far out I would get the boby looked at. I had to do that with my mk3.Every lens was spot on on my 2 other bodies but a mile out on the mk3.

well took delivery of the 17-40 today... that is spot on, the 24-70 is spot on, i havent tried the 50 1.4. Just wondering if its just my 2 Sigmas which are now out of warranty for a free adjustment.

I wonder if its because they are reverse engineered. there is a problem..

Just try all your lenses and the ones that are out get them calibrated, if they are calibrated correctly they should be ok on any camera. All my lenses are spot on on my 5d2.

"if they are calibrated correctly they should be ok on any camera."

On any camera that is within spec itself.

Out of curiosity how much do Canon charge for calibrating lenses/camera's?
