But..my first shot with the Sigma 70-300 and my first shot of an animal, so chuffed :LOL: now to get them pesky squirrels that keep scampering off up trees when I walk past with the kit lens. Colourful fella scratching about at the side of the road in Castleton as I drove past.

Gosh yes those colours are stunning and really hit you in the eye. I would crop a bit more off the left hand side if it was me.. :)
 
Lovely colours indeed. I would leave the crop as it is TBH, I don't think it would look nearly as good if it was more square. (y)
