Old Pentax lenses?

Talking to a work colleague today, he is . . . was into photography in the mid 80's. Tells me he has a whole load of Pentax prime lenses of that era, are they worth any thing. Keep seeing references to old lenses used in manual with an adaptor on various bodies??

if he buys a pentax DSLR i'm pretty sure they can instantly fit. what lenses are they (focal length/aperture) pentax primes are meant to be well regarded as the best primes money can buy so they could be worthwhile.

loads of Pentax primes on ebay -i know as i'm in the process of bidding for a few
