After waiting for what seemed like an age she eventually showed up 2 hours late. Sat through the rain and the cold with a few others on the side of the track for this. Unfortunately it was completely overcast and even though the sky isn't overexposed there's no detail in the sky what so ever and I don't own any ND grads. Looking to upgrade from my Cokin filter system anyway. Click the image for the flickr URL

It is very hard to get the trains exposure just right when you have such a bright, flat sky behind it.

The ideal way is manual exposure and an NDgrad filter.
