Quick lesson to self..... Don't buy crap cheap Cokin P filter holders off Ebay.
I wanted one of the shallow holders to use with my UWA lenses, and being a cheapskate, rather than pay £15 for a genuine Cokin unit, I cheaped out and paid £1.50 for a copy one.
Well yesterday whilst in North wales, I slipped my £70 Cokin polariser into the holder and though it was a little stiff, but it went in OK. Then when adjusting the camera on the ball had (pointing down slightly), the ribs on the holder snapped and my polariser fell out of the holder over a rock face and landed on a rocky outcrop 20 feet below with a tinkling of glass. Smashed to smitheins. I climbed down and picked up the rim and the main bits of glass (to save the sheep from cutting themsevles
).
Oh well, know better next time.
