Osprey with catch

Just put this on for a bit of interest, taken hand held at distance, hopefully will try again tomorrow, well Mikeyb will.

Yes certainly a poor photo but just a chance meeting, saw it take fish and get chased by other osprey and think it dropped it somewhere in potato field, haven't even been close to one before thought it was a harrier at first.

Was that over at Loch leven? Seen a couple there in the past. Sadly the sea eagles on Skye didn't have a successful breeding season.

Wow, just to actually see one of these birds would be amazing, to actually photograph it with a catch is special, excellent.

Thanks, it really was just luck I decided to go that way as a tractor passed as I waited to turn out on to the road I was going to take so changed my route because of it.

Hope you dont mind just ran it through a bit of photoshop stuff to clean it up a touch. (with it being a 800 wide jpg I couldnt sharpen it correctly, your original should come up ok)
