Spider, not sure which species
I saw two identical spiders, about 3m apart, with what I initially thought was a food parcel or an egg sack. Then the penny dropped that they had in fact caught the World Cup bug, if only Rob Green noted the way in which they got their whole body behind the ball to securely hang on to it.

how did u manage to get so close to the Damselfly's?was it early in the morning?

All taken mid afternoon, but you’re correct early morning would be better. Fortunately at Otmoor RSPB reserve, there are good numbers with some more approachable than others. Generally they seem to have a preferred perch & if disturbed just by waiting a bit they’ll quite often return to the same spot.
