Out of curiosity......

Has anyone ever found a need for the AA battery tray supplied with most body grips.

Or does anyone take the tray out with them in case they ever need to buy a set of AA batteries to save the day

I have always just packed them away with the box never to see light again.

For some strange/silly reason I always have it in the bag 'just in case'. I know that it will 99% never see the light of day when I'm out shooting (MB-D80 grip with two Nikon batts) but I suppose it's one of those things!

My 35mm SLR has a grip and I use the AA batteries.

Same here, mine stays in a drawer along with an assortment of other unused/old/worthless gadgets :shake:

Normally in the draw. In the bag on long weekends/hols if I know charging time will be to a min.
