Hi.
Not sure where i should place this so taking a chance here....

I have been looking through some old photos i had sent to me many years ago, attached to the same folder is a PAF file, but cannot open it, i am sure it holds details connected with the old photos.
Can any one tell me what i need to read the PAF file please.

It's a Postcode Address File. They're used by mailing list software when people sell addresses and contact details to third parties, etc. They work similarly to CSV files.
 
Thanks guys, don't think its one of the same, this is connected to some ancestory files, just making some searches with in ancestry.com....
 
PAF is a computer program for building a database of ancestors, its done by the LDS church (mormons) although the program and the churches family history centers is used extensively by people with no other connection to the church.

The PAF software is a free download from their website http://www.familysearch.org/eng/default.asp -download that and it should read your file.
(assuming its the same PAF but it sounds likely as you mention ancestry)
