I was looking at my G1 earlier and noticed that there is a rubber grommet near the battery cover that can be removed to leave a hole.

Could this be for a battery grip (yet to be released) or something else... a power lead maybe ?

Anyone got any ideas ?

I would take a pic of it, but I only have one camera and I can't get a decent shot using mirrors :thinking:
 
Just spotted that flap after reading this post. There is also the same flap on the G10.

That would be alright but they have put it on the newer G10 that uses a different body to the G1.
