Panasonic GF1 with non-IS lenses?

currently trying to decide which micro 4/3rds to get, the usual choice really, EP1 vs GF1 and i'm coming down on the side of the panasonic but the olympus in body IS is still calling (allowing smaller lenses which is a big plus for me, the higher ISO performance is also a plus of course....)

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using the GF1 with the smaller olympus 14-42 m4/3 lens? does the lack of IS hinder it any? The 20mm 1.7 is a given but for more versatility i'm wondering if this is a realistic option?
