Panasonic GF3 and studio lights?

Guy's i've just taken the plunge and bought a Panasonic GF3 and i was wondering if there was any way to connect this little beauty to studio lights. I didn't know much about micro 4/3rd cameras before i bought this as it was an impulse buy and i reckon the fact there is no hot shoe mount on this means it would be impossible to activate studio lights but i thought i would ask anyway.

On another topic i've been told the best two lenses for walkabout and portraits which is what i shoot mainly is the Pancake 20mm f1.7 anf the 45mm f1.8 and i was wondering if anyone agrees.

Ignore me - I mis-read and thought you'd said you had a G3....

EDIT: If you can turn off the pre-flash on the pop-up flash, you could use that to trigger the optical slave sensor on the flash heads. You might need to do some sort of diffuser to kill some of the flash power though, so as not to contribute to the exposure...

Yes. I use a RF 602 system to enable my G5 to fire my studio lights. The GF3 will be the same.

Oops.. appears the GF3 doesn't have a hotshoe flash...

I think you need to use an optical trigger off the internal flash with the GF3.

Not played with one but there's no hot shoe and I can't see mention of anything you could use as a sync port on the DPreview specs.
