Panel Type reflectors

Any one had any experience of using these large reflectors and their merits and faults?

I'm looking for something 6'x4'

I like the idea of the california Sunbounce ones, but jeeez! what a price!

I've gone and bought a California Sunbounce now anyway, and if I want to go windsurfing with it, I bloody well will. :razz:

Good old Bert stephani, pieter and co.... I did a workshop with Bert a couple of weeks ago. great photographer with an ability to spot a photograph everywhere...

The sunbounces are getting very popular now, despite their priced nature.
Personally I prefer the zebra screened version, not too harsh, and a little warmth.

I know the LIME guys, they're really pushing the sunbounce usual over here.

Compared to alternatives, well, most people have used the flopped disk types, fine for a spot light source. They still work well of course, quicker to pop up and take down but the flatter nature of the sunbounces seems to give a better and more even light.

Flash directly onto it and get the effect of a much larger light source.

I looked at Lastolite's version too, but eventually went for a sunbounce instead.

I had the pleasure of testing one out at a recent workshop. One of the guys brought along a sun bounce mini, (not mini at all), which has made me want one all the more now... it is a lot of money for a reflector but it is in my mind well worth it.. here is a link tom a thread showing the results i got from using it...
