Yes
Not being good at Spanish I found the following from my flickr stats.

http://samsungf480.blogspot.com/

It would appear that my flickr stream is being presented as Wallpapers, which I'm less than happy about.

Advice would be gratefully received.

Are yours the mountainscapes?

Certainly looks like they are being used to me, time for a very stern email asking for clarification of exactly what they think they're doing. And then talk money :D

Thats what I thought too, anyone know how I can find contact details out for this individual. Not very good at this stuff as I've never had it happen before.

Does it make you feel any better to know 3/3 people "liked" the images? :D

Will go see if I can find any contact info..

I would upload a simple picture with the words

THESE
PHOTOGRAPHS
ARE
COPYRIGHT
AND
STOLEN

Upload it a few times into each of your galleries.

Replace the obviuos ones like the Dog and tulip ones with photo's having an identical filename.

That should get the message to them :D

Well it would, but those ones aren't mine.

I'll do a screen grab and show you where mine are.

Hmmm, no contact details that I can find - I'd imagine your best bet may be to contact blogspot and request that they remove your images from the site.

Blogspot is actually blogger.com

On here - http://www.blogger.com/terms.g - scroll down to point 16, it gives details on reporting copyright infringement :)

The images are on the rhs of the screen.

Chris H thanks I'll do that.

PS Add the blog name first in the picture :D

LOL look just above the pictures it seem you are posting the pictures LOL

click on here

http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/tr

Then choose translate webpage

enter the blog addy and click convert from Spanish to English.

Staying in that window will auto convert the pages for you :D

Gemma thanks, I was just looking at that. I followed the link and was somewhat put off immediate action by this statement

[SIZE=-1]Please note that you will be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys' fees) if you materially misrepresent that a product or activity is infringing your copyrights. Indeed, in a past case (please see http://www.onlinepolicy.org/action/legpolicy/opg_v_diebold/ for more information), a company that sent an infringement notification seeking removal of online materials that were protected by the fair use doctrine was ordered to pay such costs and attorneys fees. The company agreed to pay over $100,000. Accordingly, if you are not sure whether material available online infringes your copyright, we suggest that you first contact an attorney.

.

Now I know he has because I have no creative commons licences on my pictures, but even so this would appear to show that Google really don't want the hassle!

There are pluggins you can use on blogs and things that use Flickr API keys to link to galleries and stuff. If you click on one of your pics mark, does it take you to your flickr photostream?

I also seem to recall this was discussed in some depth a few months ago and there is a way of turning it off so your images can't be used on external sites like this, IF this is what they are doing of course.

edit: yup, thats what it is. Its just a thumbnail slide show, if you click the pic it goes to your photostream on flickr, I just tried it with one of the pics of your dog. Now if you can give e a few mins, I might remember how to turn it off

Just a question for you... They're not using the Flickr API are they? In which case, they're most probably doing nothing wrong, and you can stop it by simply changing the settings on Flickr.

Might be worth checking before you go off the deep end

EDIT: I think he is you know, it links back to your original images, as per their terms and conditions of use of their API as well

You people are so clever, no how do I turn it off. :)

I have cookies........

Go to your account settings in Flickr

In privacy and permissions there is a setting for

Who can blog your stuff

CHeck that it is set to you only

It may be set to everyone :D

Right I've changed the who can blog settings and the API settings so we'll see what happens.

TriggerHappy this was found through my Flickr stats.

Any idea who NoNameGirl is ?

Nope none.....

I suspect you may also have to wait until flickrs servers update too before your images disappear off that website.

Thanks YV and indeed everyone else who offered advice, I knew I could count on my fellow TP'ers to assist. I've learnt something new about Flickr tonight. I've deleted the images that the blog had linked to as I can always reload them another time, which with the changes to the API settings should do the trick.

Just looked, the little images still show but when clicked they say "The photo you were looking for has been deleted." - so nobody can grab them :D

Well as you use the flickr name NnG and it would seem in 2008 someone was posting lots of pictures on the site with NonameGirl as their copyright I just wonder if this is also Identity related :D

Thanks Gemma

I'll check again tomorrow and see if the slide show has gone, before reloading the pictures.

Don't think so but I see where you coming from.... NnG = Norfolk n Good... say it fast, look at my pictures and all will be come clear!

Edit. it would appear that there is another Flickr user called NnG (hardly surprising) and they are from Spain. Their website takes you to a blog that it won't let me access. I wonder if this is a case of using the wrong NnG when setting up the Flickr API.

And they're gone.... move on nothing to see here.... (or there:lol:)

Well I checked this morning and my feed has been replaced by NNG Global's Flickr feed. :suspect:

NnG Global would appear to be a mapping company, wonder if they now..... or care.

Thanks again everyone:thumbs:

Ring any bells

http://BANNED/nonamegirl

Look at the Twit her her

She's from Spain :D

The pictures showing now are from another member who's flickr account begins with NNG.

We need to tell everyone who flickr name begins the same to change their username LOL :D

She's surprisingly protective of her information isn't she... protects her Twitter feed, protects her new blog.... wonder why that is?:naughty:
