Hi All,

Im sure not many of you will have heard of this guy, I know I hadnt until yesterday. Basically he is a French artist who visits places of Architectural interest, armed with 2 specialist projectors and "Paints" the buildings with light.
He has done this to York minster, and as he has NEVER done this in the UK i snapped up the chance to go and see it, avec Free tripod :D

Here are a few of my favourite images of the night, these have been cropped, resized and sharpened but NOTHING has been done with levels, colours, saturation or brightness. It has to be seen in person to be believed:

More shots at my smug mug gallery. All taken with the 300D, 18-55 kit lens (/vomits) and my Freebie Tripod (which im very pleased with after tonight).

Any comments/critique is appreciated,

Thanks for looking.

P.S - This is on until the 5th of November. If you live within 100 miles of York, get there. Its a pretty odd yet wonderful thing to see!

They look excellent - really bizarre twist that look very good. I love the way the stone appears to glow:)

You sure he hasn't been at then with car spray paint.....

Wow, they're lovely!
I didn't know about this, would have loved to go and see it.

Probably won't have chance to go now before the 5th :(

Looks like there is going to be more opportunities to see it.

Thanks for the comments guys, i had a fun time taking these shots and being there. Everyone was pretty much awe struck!!

Thats amazing, I have never seen anything like that done with so much detail, especially as a non permanant thing.

You have done well with the photography too, the fact that we are all impressed with what the artist has done goes to show that as the photographer you have done an excellent job of capturing and protraying the scene to us. I would be very pleased with all of those shots.

damn, i would have loved to have gone there am only half hour away :( problem being i'm working till tuesday now :(:(

wow! Not seen anything like that before, very impressed with the photography and the art!

that's a lot of work to go to just to turn them off again. Nice stuff :)
