Pembrokeshire Moonlit Milky Way

Absolutely wonderful shot and, as above, would you mind sharing some of the technical aspects please ??

Mind-boggling!

As a perfect, standalone image it kind of fails because of the bent horizon and the lights (?Bristol), but sometimes the camera sees what the eye can't see and in that sense it's amazing.

Might it be possible to correct the horizon?

Thanks for the comments.

The lights dont bother me. Its very difficult to avoid light pollution. They are the North Devon/Somerset coast which is some 30-40 miles away. Think Ilfracombe is on the left.

The bent horizon seems to be a feature of the 14mm Samyang. The lens gives some odd perspective and as I dont spend much time doing PP then I just leave it. As with the post I made of Carew Castle recently which had a similar distortion it is possible to straighten it to get it looking a bit better. I need to have a go at this one as well.

As for exposure etc.

The sky is a 30 second exposure at ISO 3200 at f2.8

The foreground is a 3 minute exposure at f8

Then the 2 separate images were blended at the horizon with a layer mask and soft brush.

smashing shot of the milky got to give this a go. Thanks for sharing your technice
