My laptop is slightly old and rather massive (17") for a std 15.4" it would be less of a squeeze ;)

Bag looks good, is very very comfortable to wear, loads of space, convenient front pocket for phone, keys, mem cards, batts etc. It doesn't scream 'Camera!' either which in my book is always a good thing.

thanks for the replies,

just ordered the crumpler from jacobs, can't go wrong at that price !!!!

cheers

I can vouch for the Kata Sensitivity V under £55 delivered from Amazon, but currently out of stock...

Carries my Dell Latitude E4200 and D700/50mm 1.4 comfortable and could also take a couple of extra lenses or lens/flash.

It's a compact package (and great weatherproofing) but not much use if you have a larger laptop.

The Tamrac Aero 85. It's got a fairly sizeable camera section, with access through the side, similar to the slingshot (I think), a decent laptop section and another section for lunch.

Even my wife quite likes it :D...

I second this, although I've got it (and prefer it) in plain black.

I can fit in a 16.4 inch laptop in the laptop section, 5DMk2 with 24-105 attached, 70-200 F4 IS, 50mm 1.4, 580ex ii, 430ex ii all in the camera section (though it's tight!) and that leaves the standard pocket for additional accessories or lunch!

:D I have to pad mine out or the camera and lenses flop about like mad... but I can get everything in with room to spare...

Burton Zoom Pro - 15" laptop compartment, enough space for a gripped body, three or four lenses plus a couple of flashes or a big zoom like a 70-200mm. Fleece-lined battery pocket, remieable battery/bits pocket, rear access (to stop thieves getting at your kit), full lumbar support, external pockets galore. Bought mine for £55 but they're usually about £80-90. Great bag

The crumpler doesn't look that good for access. If you had a camera with a lens on it, would you not need to take it all off to take the camera out safely?

Would the tamrac get through as hand-luggage on planes at the moment?

What is the depth like inside, would one get a 70-300 in it, pointing out like they have photo'd?

Unless you're talking 'slingshot' style I dont know one backpack that you don't have to take off to 'safely' access your gear

Ive ordered the Crumpler, mainly for when i'm traveling (especially airports - one pack for all) and it doesn't really look like a traditional camera backpack.

thanks for all the feedback and i'm sure others will find this thread useful
