I use sell a few mounts in a year and was using slip in mounts, but they have gotten expensive to buy over the past year, have switch to mount packs to make my own but just wondering where everyone else buys their photo mounts from?

Slip in mounts are/were popular in the events market.

As the description infers they are made to allow for sliding in the print and they also commonly had a fold over cover.

Having said that IIRC the sizes were common up to a max of perhaps 10x8 inch. NB I just reread the OP sizes........ perhaps "so expensive" because the volume is not there to manufacture economically?

PS some years back I had a customer who made them in the 100,000s of 1000s per year for the wedding, portrait & events markets. This has prompted me to Google and see if they are still operating? Edit ~ yes still operating and I was a factor of 10 out i.e. they produce in the millions.

I use hoopers framing on amazon. Backing boards, mount frames and clear sleeves very good indeed.
