Hi guys

I'm trying to finalise my price list for selling youth sport images on my website.

This is what I have so far.

4x6 = £3
5x7 = £5
8x10 = £10 All these on Epson Premium Semi Gloss
8x12 = £14
11x14 = £16
11x16 = £20

12x18 = £30 This size on Epson Velvet Fine Art

I've tried to keep to the most popular frame sizes and also the main 'A' paper sizes.

I was thinking of charging £2 P&P.

What do you think.....reasonable?

To be honest yes I do think they are reasonable but as to whether the parents of the kids doing the youth sports will think it is reasonable enough to buy a picture is another matter. If they are able to take thier P&S along and get their own photos then you'll struggle for sales. If buying your photos are the only chance they have of getting a photo of their child winning at whatever sport it is you are photographing then you'll probably get plenty of sales.

That's like a mum saying to a bride don't worry about a photographer because your dad will bring his cybershot:thinking:

I think most parents recognise a decent photo when they see one and will be willing to purchase so long as the price is competitive.

Actually you'd be amazed at the number of brides who are happy for uncle Joe to bring his P&S because he took some nice shots at Butlins last year.

If you go along the same route as the school photos where the photos are sent out and you have to return them if you don't want them then you'll find a lot of parents buy them because they can't be bothered sending them back. I don't know how viable an option that is for a sports event though.

Have you looked at other Event Photographers that cover the same sport as you? Are you in their ball park figure? If so, in my opinion, you've priced correctly!

Carl.
