I see what you mean Dave but I have no answers sorry

I don't have an answer for you, but they do look a little soft. Having a look at my pro gallery they look over sharpened.

Have you had any printed off so you can check the quality, this was something I did just to make sure.

Also in your gallery admin section you can add some text to be displayed on main page of your gallery, maybe saying something like they are viewing a soft low res image, but will be printed at high quality.

i had a A3 printed last week looks fine..

also did some portraits they look fine to.

i have uploaded full files so should not be that....

ill have to contact them and ask.....

New here, so Hello to all.
Came across this thread searching for info on Photobox Pro galleries. It seems that they're not available anyway at the mo. Any recommended alternatives?
I see that Trev prefers Kodak. I don't see a link on their site to Pro galleries - only the normal versions. Could you point me in the right direction?

Blimey....this is a really helpful forum.

:lol::lol: sometimes things get a little lost in the mass of posts, so we don't realise a question has been asked!

Check out this;

http://www.photographers.co.uk/html/photographic-suppliers-1.cfm?subcategory=Online Photo Sales

It gives you a list of suppliers for pretty much all photography-related services you may need. I know a few people that use instant memories... it seems okay. I don't know if you can set your own prices yet, but it's something I am also looking into!

Hope this helps... and welcome to the forum!

Hi all.

Thought you'd like a quick update on the Photobox pro gallery service straight from the horse’s mouth - from Photobox.

Yes, the gallery service has been closed to new users since June; this is while we build a new gallery service to work alongside our new consumer platform.

Last week we previewed the new gallery service to a small group of existing users - very much work in progress, but enough to get a good sense of what to expect..

The feedback we received was encouraging; (notwithstanding a few bugs and some stuff that we weren’t quite ready to share) the basics functionality as available on the old system now looks to be in place - to enable existing users to carry on with business as usual. We also received some excellent ideas for additional features and we're working on a plan to include them as soon as we can, along with a raft of enhancements that will be rolled out following the initial public beta and when we have moved the 1,000’s of existing users over to the new service.

So in the next few weeks we’ll have a second preview session to demonstrate the stuff that wasn’t quite ready last week. And we’ll roll out to a public beta soon after that. I'll happily update you here (if it’s useful??) or via our blog and / or main site.

I hope this update is appreciated – stick with us – we’re not far off!

Ben

Me too... I am more than happy with the service from Photobox and am interested in your gallery and associated online ordering services.

Hi All, For those of you interested in our new pro gallery service (coming soon) as a way to sell your images as photographic prints here's a additional way to earn some credit crunch busting cash with your images straight away. We've just made some new functionality available on our sister greeting card site that allows you to create and sell greeting cards you have created from your own artist profile page on the site. This will be linked to your main Photobox account so all your pro gallery and card sales will be manageable from one place. Check it out and tell us what you think. http://greetings.photobox.co.uk/page/send-us-card-design. Just in time for Christmas too. Ben
