My dog has become my model for practising off camera flash stuff since I can't find any more volunteers :( . Anyway im just wondering if theres away to avoid his eyes getting green eye as I call it, a bit like red eye in shooting people.

Thanks

Sean

Put the main flash high overhead.

Don't have a direct fill in.

Thanks for the advice Lensflare I'll give it a try :)

Red-eye (and the same in other creatures) is from light bouncing into the pupil and then directly back at the camera. The way to beat it is to get the flash as far from the camera as possible.

This is why wedding photographers use flash brackets.

Bouncing the majority of the flash off the ceiling helps too
This shot the flash was off to the left and bound straight up, with just the pop up diffuser puttin some direct light in for the catchlight.
