Anyone know of a good place to get Photography magazines for beginners that are downloadable as i'm working abroad in Israel all the local stuff is all in hebrew and i'm not in the uk till september so i was wanting to download some to pass the time.

I know there is plenty of website's but canny get net access at work.

Any help would be great..

i have itunes so might give it a try cheers..

cheers mark i will give these a try

There are incomplete teasers of older back issues of Practical Photography and other similar magazines covering basics on Isuu. You might have to jump about a bit to get articles, but better than nothing if you rate PP. Plenty of photography inspiration from some of the other titles available, keep an eye out for the Romanian bi-lingual magazine Camera Obscura - some really good stuff in it.

cheers alastair i will check it out, and thanks everyone for the info

Thanks for the above info. Just downloaded the eighteen copies available and put them in my Ipad. Must admit never heard of it before look very interesting though.

I only found it a couple of weeks ago.. a trawl through Isuu pays off from time to time..

Another few online that are worth a read -
  • Magnachrom - sadly this medium-/large-format magazine has stopped publishing, but the six issues available online are worth a read even if you don't shoot larger formats
  • le Negatif - film based magazine, some covers are NSFW and will appear on the scrolling homepage
  • Square magazine - magazine for the square format image
