I like them, and considering you used a compact, fantastic! Try and get an SLR for your birthday.;)

Thanks :) I'm going off on my bike to the local woods to try and get some more good shots :) Also which is better a normal mini tripod or a gorillapod?

Is this a wynd up:shrug:;)

Very good, Liam - you need to resize your pictures to 800px on the longest side though, otherwise the pixel :police: will come along and remove them :runaway:

It's good that you're young and I like your pictures, but don't over-emphasize your age :)

Quick question i dont know how to resize, i have Jessops photo shop but don't know how to use it  anyone know how? EDIT Don't worry i can do it via the camera :)

Couple of things...

Contact the mods with their contact link thing, tell them how old you are (they'll give you a different title ;) - means that people usually take your age into consideration when replying etc)

You might want to get some photo editing software - paint.net is free to download. That means that you can keep your images at full size and then keep a copy at the right size to upload onto the forum (y)

Welcome to the forum (y)

You have alot of pictures of flowers - is that what you prefer to take photopgraphs of or do you have a special interest in flowers?

Depends - a gorilla pod is handy if you want to attach your camera to, say a tree branch, or to a door - unusual places like that...

edit:  Not knocking the age - but thought that you had to be 13yrs old to join any forum

Old people do it as well, a good amount of the calls I take at work are from pensioners who must insist at the beginning of every call 'I am 82 years old'. Like it matters...

Nope i just like to take them useing the close up mode ( i just found it) but i like to get birds and cats altough my cats are boring and also birds never come near me as i smell of cats  I have jessops photoshop which can do the same as Paint.net ( i used to use that for makeing good photos useing a plain photo of a tree. Also when i get close when i turn on my camera it makes a beep which i can't stop, only a when i put a small bit of electical tape over the speeker :)

Ooh, so anything close up? Have you tried random household objects. Lego men are really popular for macro and close up photography. Have a look in the macro section on here ;)

Birds you'll find hard to capture on a point and shoot camera TBH

Humm, I'll try it a lego cowboy rideing a cat? that sounds good :)

Err i kinder lost the cowboy to the cat Grrrrrrrrrr, he ate the cowboy., i was hopeing for a med-evil look. Although i did get this photo by mestake:
http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/9973/s8303528.jpg
that was him after eating a butterfly R.I.P
Here is another picture not a close up but i still like it :)

Also is this cheating? As i think it may make getting shots of lightning easy by recording it and then putting it into slow motion at around 3000 FPS and then pause it and take a screen shot?

It looks like your cat really enjoyed eating the cowboy Liam, it's such a shame that the focus is on the tree in the background instead of the cat though. Keep up the good work(y)

It does matter.
I want to be one of those mad old ladies who tells everyone how old I am when I get there :)

I've got another of the lion from a diffrent angle just editing it and then i will post it

I remember myself in that age. at that time I thought - I don't like portraits, I don't like photographing people at all. I only wish I started doing that earlier. oh ! and I didn't have internet at that time :D . only a really bad computer, with about 10mb(maybe less) hdd
