Answered Pictures hosted on TP don't show up in the thumbnails at the top

No
I only recently realised that only Flickr (and other externally hosted?) images show up in the thumbnails at the top of the homepage. It's meant I've missed newly posted images in specific forums when I've not had time to go look specifically.

Is there a reason for this, and can it be changed in a user setting?

I've not noticed but I'll do some checking on that.

However, what you have to realise Toni, there can be 100's of images posted across a wide range of forums per day, and not everyone will get shown as a thumbnail.
Best bet is go to new posts <what's new> top title bar, it'll only show you what you haven't seen.

As its automatic, no.

Thanks Chris.
No worries Toni.
I did run through the thumbnails, earlier, while most are Flickr based, there are 2 / 12 there that are attachments.
So it seems it favours Flickr, but not exclusively.
