I currently use a custom shopping cart from Photium which backs onto my Wordpress site, (Will, from Photium did this for me cos I'm an idiot). It's great as it takes seconds to upload new galleries, but does have it's drawbacks, cost, number of images limit and no file download facility.

I've heard lots of good things about Photocart and it appears that those of you that use it, rate it quite highly. The outright purchase is equivalent to a years subscription for my current cart, so I'll be better off after that.
The only thing I'm not sure of is whether it can be set up by a relative dummy like me? and do you need to have Dave's Uploader as well, or can you use any FTP client?

its an easy step by step install with detailed instructions provided, or you can pay a little extra and Tim will install it for you. make sure your webhosting has the relevent services enabled also.

any FTP app will do, basically you upload to yourwebroot\store\photos\folderpathtogallery (or similar if you installed to a different folder to "store")

its great whatever issues ive had were always minor and resolved quickly within their forums.

just had the new version released, which is basically a complete redesign available for free for existing customers.
