places to shoot in chester

Hi all,

Im taking SHMBO away for a weekend to chester for her birthday and as im told the place is lovely im hoping there will be lots of nice places to take some snaps while shes at the spa!

So any recommendations?

chesters high street where the shops are will be really nice with all the old buildings....never taken photo's there myself but been a few times and its really nice also there chester zoo which is ment to be very nice

Have a walk up on to the Walls of the old city for some aerial/rooftop shots.

We also like to have a walk down to the river when we visit and sometimes have a boat ride, although it may be cold this time of year.

i had thought about the walls myself im glad you also think that would be a good idea. I'l be sure to wrap up warm

We wont be going to the zoo this time - we have been before and it is indeed fantastic

Definitely go down by the river. There is a lovely suspension bridge. It's best to go on the far side and look back across towards the city because there are some great houses. Also "the steps" which is a stepped weir usually has some canoeists doing their thing.

Of course there's the cathedral too. You really can't go wrong. Most the buildings are hundreds of years old.

Also the canal basin and buildings around Telford's (decent food and real ale inside is a bonus).
