Greetings. Am a bit unsure after quite a lot of thorough research as to which filter adapter ring size I must get for my Planar 80mm 2.8 kit lens, in order to use the Cokin P series filters on my 500c/m Hassel? I have come to the conclusion it's the B50 (P401), am I right??
Response greatly appreciated from one who has one or knows for certain :)

I am assuming you are talking of 80mmplanar for hassy

The lens takes a B50 mount filter

I got a B50 to 55mm adapter from the ebay -china for 7 £. I can then use my 55 mm filters on it.

There are several adapters; commonly B50 to 55mm and B50 to 58mm. So once you get the adapter ( say B50 to 55mm) you then need to get a 55mm Cokin adapter ring to mount the Cokin holder. You are then set....

If you want to see how the adapter looks i can get it for you ( seeing that you are in london, and I work in london)

yup, should work. But its pretty expensive....

But, i would have got a B50 to 55mm adapter. The cokin filters are good for graduated ND; for the rest, a screw filter is much more convenient, and better quality; especially the polarising filter.

Of course that depends on what you use it for.
