what is the maximum lens thread size the Marumi DRF-14 S TTL Macro Ring Flash will go up too? They seem quite inexpensive compared to others, whats your opinion of it?

Cheers

Jon- the flash comes with 5 different lens adaptors- but they are easy to purchase as an addition to the flash unit

my 105mm lens is 58mm thread

my standard lens is 55mm thread

my telephoto lens is 52mm all these thread sizes are catered for + a couple of larger threaded adaptors

I think its a brilliant flash for the cash :D

Im looking to buy some in the next day or so- don't think I'd buy from Jessops though :puke:

I like the pasta shot too but would clone the "bits" out on the background to make it even better. The first apple shot I like as well

Its around 18 inches, Gary ( not wishing to brag or anything lol :D:D:D:D)

Plenty of room for extention tubes- I know Ive just ordered a set of Kenko ones to fit my 105mm Sigma

Les (y)

you will be impressed with the difference, just makes dof even smaller.
have you read up on stacking photo's comes in handy when using tubes.

let me know how you get on with your tubes

Gaz

because you have such a small dof with macro and things need to be taken broadside to get it all in focus to get a shot in focus head on you can take multiple images and then stack them to make one in focus image

Im guessing Special software is needed

I only have Photoshop Elements 9

Les

search google for combinezm free program to play with there are some guides as well to walk you through the process

Download and installed - Thank you Gary
