Can someone please post a picture at: 5mm, 119mm (or as close as possible) and at 300mm.

Reason: I have a bridge camera. I don't shoot with a SLR and need a comparison of these three lengths. Just a picture out the window or of where you are at the moment. Dont have to put it on a tripod, but it would be good if I could see where that picture would be on the others.

a quick Google suggests that range on a compact is equivalent to ~ 26-676mm on FF

It sounds right to me - the field of view at a given focal length depends on the size of the sensor, bridge sensors are tiny which is why the focal lengths are much shorter for for the equivalent FOV you'd get on a 35mm camera.

Not really sure what you're asking for to be honest :thinking:
 
The size of the sensor in your bridge camera is fairly small so they can build a lens thats 26-676mm equivalent without it being too big and heavy. With a DSLR the amount of glass needed for a lens like that would make it very costly and heavy which is why they don't really (sigma make a 200-500 for about £12,000 which weighs 15.7kg). This is actually a very useful advantage bridge cameras have

the thing is, a 10mm lens is a 10mm lens whether its on a mobile phone or a £5k Nikon. The images will look totally different due to the different field of view but the lenses focal length is exactly the same.
