hi I want a new camera, I haven't got much money so I have got it down to 2, they are both in argos and in the sale the 1st one is Kodak M530 12MP and the other is Samsung PL70 12M the koday 1 has really dropped in price, but I have not got a clue.............please help thankyou for taking the time to help caz

The they are both very similar cameras and judging from reviews thier performance is about the same. If it were me I would go with the Samsung, purely because it has a better zoom range than the Kodak.
 
chaz kodak m530 is 79.99 in argos, there is not much price difference but its the camera knowing which 1 is better......Dave so you think the samsung 1 ?
 
Yeah, Samsung. They make clever cameras. Not always the best lenses, but usually the best functions.
 
I use a Samsung S850 as well as my DSLR, and I can't fault it.

I'd go for the Samsung.

My compact is a samsung and my only major complaint is that it goes through batteries at an alarming rate.

Sorry to throw another suggestion into the hat but the Kodak Z915 seems pretty good with 10x optical zoom and 10mp (it's not all about the mega-pixels you know) and is also in the Argos sale at £89.99.
