
Lightweight board that I can paint. I've seen it on a US DVD but can't find it here. I've just found boards the size I'm after so will call to see if they are the right type of board.
The dvd i watched showed them being used as 'bookends' and backgrounds, quite versatile and can be redecorated to suit.
Try a builders merchant , ask for extruded polystyrene as apposed to expanded poystyrene. It's used for insulation, but doesn't crumble like the expanded stuff

The above link is about the best you will get in this country.
If you need to paint it, give a wash with 4:1 water to PVA and you will then have a surface that can be painted.
I have asked on the US forums and they say the same as me.
