Just back from a day out with the Canon 17-55 lens and have finally decided that I didn't need to spend that amount of money on the lens (and don't want to spend over another £100 on filters / hood ). I have decided to go with the Tamron 17-50 2.8 which is substantially cheaper. This leaves me with some cash to spare and I'd really appreciate any advice on a portable studio of sorts (like a white backdrop or some sort of basic lighting set-up) I am currently using a Jessops 360AFD flash bounced off ceilings / walls etc.. Would it make much of a difference to go with say a Canon 430ex II?
