A couple from my recent trip down to Portencross in Ayrshire for the Perseids shower and one from the following night further north, before the clouds rolled in and ruined my night !!

Seriously, excellent star shots, and oddly the clouds help to show them off.

What directíon are you going to improve on

Good balance between the foreground lighting and the stars, I'd be very pleased with those.

Good photos. Although a little too heavy on the processing to bring out the "milkyway," makes it appear odd next to the other stars.

All great shots Chris, but the boats in the first one make it my favourite and they look even better against the darker background on Flickr. I was in NW Sutherland and had high hopes of a display, but only got clouds, clouds and more clouds.
