i have checked the website sticky but it never helped me much so i's thought about making this thread.

im after a website that i can use for free as i dont have any cash and i can display a portfolio of work and maybe incorporate a blog for tips and techniques, reviews etc.

is there any sites you can recommend?
 
Nothing is free in this world :)

If you need a low cost site, go for one a cms system like Wordpress or Joomla, choose a template, place some photos there and away you go. You will still need some hosting space and a domain name - and they cost money. Free hosting is rubbish and you will be restricted by what you can use, and possibly have adverts on. And domain names are never free :)

Downside - it will look like a template site unless you have enough skills to change the template/layout to an extent that its not going to look like the template you installed.

Best thing to do for as close to free as possible is to download wordpress and then buy some storage/domain name

Domain name is usually around £7 per year, you can get storage for around £30 a year to for the cheapest so could pay monthly £3

so you get something decent for little outgoings
