Prime lens travel - what's your setup?

Hi, above I have shown pics of my favourite travel combo SONY A7R2 - ZEISS Loxia 2,8/21. Another combo I use now and then : Leica M9 - Elmarit 2,8/21 asph (in Wiesbaden/D):

Why do I not use this combo more often : With the Leica M9 you only get frame lines in your viewfinder for lenses of 28, 35, 50, 75, 90, 135 mm. For WAs you need an external viewfinder.

I have two of those, but do not like using them, because they spoil the handling and make the camera less pocketable. So, it's trial-and-error-framing, which is no problem digitally ...

The easy solution is to use a newer Leica with live-view!

Hi, many recommended 28mm above. A few examples here (Leica M9 - Voigtländer Nokton 2/28) :

28mm is the most frequently used focal length worldwide (if one includes iPhones). In 2014 I took the Leica Elmarit 2,8/28 asph. and the SONY A7 with me on a trip to Manchester/UK.

I found 28mm too long for city travel. This is why I prefer 21mm now.

(The A7 and the 28mm Elmarit did not work well together (colour shift and sensor reflections). The Nokton is said to function well on the SONY A7R2.)
