I have been aked to do a prtrait session for a family friend and was wondering about offering various sizes of print - maybe 10x8, 12x10 and 16x12.

My question is if the client asks for the same image in differing sizes, how does this work given the varying aspect ratios of the sizes (and the fact that the image itself will be 2/3 out of the camera)?

Is this something that you need to take into consideration when shooting, or do you do it all in PP?

Thanks

Framing - specifically viewing distance and location. The proportions of an image that is going to be looked at in a photo album will reflect the dimensions of the album. The dimensions of image that is to be hung on a wall will reflect the space within which the image will be hung. If they have an album that they intend putting the smaller shots in see if you can have a look-see. If they want bigger stuff then an idea of wherebaouts in the house it's likely to be hung will be very useful.

But, yes, you can do it PP as long as you shoot outside any required crop.
