Printing problems

I have a Epson R240 A4 printers which i get nice prints good colours. I also hava a Canon IX4000 A3 printer which the colours are not so good any help advice would be great.

what are you printing on with each printer, are the ink OE, how are you printing the picture?

Printing using CS5 along with Jessops satin paper, finish is great on my Epson
but rubbish on the Canon.

Try with Canon paper, you will need to get alternative ink/paper profiled.

People like fotospeed http://www.fotospeed.com/customprofiling.asp will provide free profiles for their papers.

you need a specific profile for the paper so its likely the epson ink is closer to spec I suppose. you'll need to get a custom profile made.

i had the same problem , i had to crate profiles for each type of paper.
i would suspect the same is true of printers as well.

The pgi-5bk is pigment ink isn't it? You will need to e careful that the paper is pigment compatible
