Problems to host artistic nudity photos

Hi everybody:
I am a lawyer and amateur photographer from Chile. My site is http://fotosmontt.com
Lately I have tried to take nudity pictures. I think that i have improved in that area.
Many years ago i used to use a hosting company and use an html editor to create the galleries. From less than one year ago i am with smugmug.com to put my photos on line.
Regreately, in the lasts weeks i received a message to shut down some photos with some kind of nudity.
The messages betwen us are at the end of this message.
So, i need another site or service, like smugmug, shutterfly, pixogogo, where i put all my photos, including those attacked from sumgmug (i understand the north american moral is in the conservative directions since Bush election).
What are your advise?

Unfortunately, there seem to be more of your galleries that have unacceptable photos.
Please check through all of your galleries immediately and remove any that have bare breasts or otherwise might not be family safe.
If you are not sure about whether they might be family safe or not, they probably are not.
For instance, this gallery has some that are not acceptable:

I have passworded that gallery and if necessary, we will password as many of your galleries as needed until they are family safe.
If you do not feel like you wish to remove those images, then we will be forced to cancel your account.

2. I read your policies before i open the account and i didnt find the
paragraph you are showing me now.
In fact, before i open the account i search into your clients accounts
and found many nude portraits.\
3./ My site is not phornography. Personaly I think that it is possible
the nudity in the art and at least for me not every nudity is obscene
4./ Please be patient with my situation because like i told you i am

Hi Mario,

I am sorry but many of those galleries have images that are not Family Safe.

Your images are beautiful but we have to be very conservative about this so we don't offend anyone.
We are certainly not saying they are pornographic. We are just saying that they are not photos that everyone feels comfortable viewing. So here are some basic guidelines:
no frontal nudity (for women that means no bare breasts and no genitalia showing) (for men, no genitalia showing)
no poses that might be considered obscene or provocative
We sometimes have to make decisions on ones that are not so obvious but many of yours show women's bare breasts and many of our visitors do not feel those are appropriate for their children to see.

So please remove any photos to do not meet those general requirements and think about what small children maybe should not be viewing. Or even think about what a teenage boy might wish he could see but shouldn't!

well its a tuff one! Most server owners dont like to host nudity as it contravenes the rules that they themeselves have to abide, i do know of someone who has a large collection of *adult* material, i will ask him who his supplier is, he only pays a nominal fee of £9 for a year, but that gives him gigabytes of space to do as he pleases.

As a member of TPF you are allowed a spot in the gallery, a member of the admin team will PM you about that soon!

My site has only 10% of nudity. So, it is not a pornography, soft porn or something like that.
Architecture, urban photos, portraits and some nudity. But for these nudity i have some problems with the new north american conservative wave.
And i want ot a hosting service. I prefer a service like a share photos sercie, because it is easier to upload and to modify the galleries of photos.

Personally I don't have any issues with you hosting your images in one of our galleries; we can set one up for you for free. Legally I am not 100% certain how we stand but as long as it is not pornographic material (which from the pictures I have seen it is not) and you put and general warning on your gallery or any posts you make which contain nudity that they contain adult material I am happy to offer you a home.

We will contact you shortly with some more details.

If you PM me with a name and password i will set up a gallery for you, you will not be able to post pictures on other forums by linking to it, but you can post here and you will be more than welcome to direct people to your gallery.
 
i for one would welcome ' nudity ' in the form of artfull photography, ie: the clasic nude,

if Divinci can do , well so can we


as long as an apropriot warning is given in the title, so no nippers are around b4 things pop onto the screens

I do not bear the responsibility of running these forums, so this is just my 2p as an innocent bystander. :) IMO a prudish attitude to nudity does far more harm than good, by encouraging the belief that there is something 'nasty' about the human body that must be kept from our view. Attractive human forms, male and female, have always been the subject of art, and are arguably the epitome of artistic taste and achievement if expressed with a degree of talent and expertise.

As MyPix says, Leonardo and most of the classical painters and sculptors did it all the time. Perhaps a few (clothed) angels and cherubs would help? :D
 
'Family safe' - this PC business really is starting to get out of hand.
I really hate this morally superior attitude of our US cousins sometimes... :evil:
But then they ARE descended from all the religious loony-tunes and other scumbags that were kicked out of Europe by the rest of us 'normal' people...
As long as the site was password protected and appropriate warnings to under-age visitors posted prominently, what's the problem?
I bet if there were images of war showing close-ups of mutilated corpses and the effects of high-velocity ammunition and explosives, then no-one would have complained.
It's OK to show killing and death, but not nude studies...
That speaks volumes.

No reason why fotosmontt should not host his own images surely? all he needs is some web space and there are thousands of hosting companies out there.

We have offered a home for fotosmontt and a place to host and display his images. The ball is now in his court but we are more than happy to help out on this occation.
 
I dont think he has come back to us yet steve....maybe i will mail him?
 
thanks to all those tried to help me. I had to make a quick decision and to hire with a hosting service. The truth is that they are many pictures and I need space of more than 500 megas, to begin.
But the ideal thing was to be able to use those new services of hosting of pictures, such as smugmug, shutterfly, flickr. In fact, I opened one with flickr.com to put the less conflicting pictures
On the other hand, I agree totally with Arkady

Well, I had a quick look and I really can't see what the fuss is about unless you left the more explicit images off the site.
Even my son asked where the pictures of boobs were (but then he's used to the stuff I do in my time off from work...).
FHM and LOADED show more on the front covers than this...

Nice images though.

Well, I'm a smugmug user too, and when I read all the things when I sign up, never says anything about that, but well, now you have change to your own site, ask your money back from smugmug.

By the way, I have look at your photos and they are great! Las de Gabriela Wow! She is beautiful!
