Problems with outlook 2007

I have just started using outlook 2007 for my business email. I have noticed that i cannot send messages to hotmail or yahoo webmail accounts (i have tried both of mine). The message appears in the sent box in Outlook 2007, but never arrives. It is working because it sent to a friend orange webmail account. I was just wondering if anyone else had experianced this as it could be troublesome if i need to contact a customer on a hotmail or yahoo account.

Ok, i have just found that it works if i reply to an email. which is good to know even if it is a pain.

is it sat in your junk mail folder in hotmail?

Don't use Yahoo or Hotmail but doubt check your settings against those on the site maybe?

I'm sure Microsoft and Yahoo will have instructions for setting up mail on Outlook.
