projectors for viewings

What kinda computer projectors work well for viewings?

I've been digging and they seem to come in general purpose, home cinema and gaming varieties.


Guessing home cinema have better comms with av sources, gaming projectors have good refresh rates and general are cheaper to make.

But where do I hunt for nice looking and easy to calibrate, thinking to project onto white paper (photographic backdrop act) so should have some control of the ambient level

unless youre planning on making your clients sit in a very dark room i wouldnt bother to be honest..

+1. Even the best projectors are nowhere near as good as a really good monitor.

the project I was planning on using this for has fallen through so is less of an issue, I'll be keeping my eye open for a decent plasma though
