Question about Canon 5D MKII AF please

I have owned this for a couple of months now and have been exploring various settings and aspects of its AF amongst other things. I noticed suddenly today that on Centre AF point selected sometimes while locking the focus and when the center red dot shows up momentarily to inidicate focus locked (Both either on A1 Servo and also on ONE SHOT) one of the peripheral red dots also lights up at the same time, although quite dimly. At first I thought it was just my imagination, but then ever since I noticed I have tried to make sure if its just one or more or even different ones, and definitely these has been happening and not just my imagination. If I focus on a different angle or change position it either stops (leaving just the centre point lighting up to lock the focus) or alternatively other spots will light on, and occasionally more than one. I must stress though that the intensity of these peripheral lights are much lower than the center point though.
I am very surprised that this happens as I strictly choose center point focusing so am wondering if this is normal and if it is what does it mean?

Can any one shine some light on this please?

It's spill light from the centre point AF LED catching the reticule and refracting some light to your eyes. The key is that it goies away as you change angle or different angle.

Nothing to worry about.
