As title...... does anyone have experience of the Lowepro Vertex 200AW passing the size test for carry on baggage with Easyjet?

I know its close in size, but is it too close?

Thanks in advance for confirmation either way

I've taken a Vertex 200 on a few EasyJet flights, but they've never really tested the size of it, so if you get a particularly pee'd off gate agent they could get bitchy about it.

My wife has just started check in for Easy jet at Gatwick!!! (actually employed by Menzies aviation). It's not a case of being bitchy, they have no flexibility, either it fits or it goes in the hold, they are not allowed any tolerance on this.

Suggest you look on the Easyjet site and get the measurements, if you get stuck pm me and I'll ask the wife when she gets home tonight.

Oh and be aware if it is too big and is put in the hold you will get charged £18 for an extra bag, Plus excess weight if it takes your total in the hold over the 20kg allowance (in reality they only charge once it gets to 21kg, 20.9 is tolerated)

Taken from easyjet baggage allowance

Each passenger is permitted
one standard piece of hand baggage to maximum dimensions of 56x45x25cm

Taken from Lowpro site

Size(Exterior):
12.6W X 10.2D X 18.5H in./
32 X 26 X 47 cm

Its just a question of GOOGLING;)

Although those sizes may not be the same when your bag is FULL:shrug:

Yep I have the info on sizes from the Lowepro site and from the Easyjet site. It's just the impact on size of shoulder straps etc that I'm concerned about.

If someone has slotted a 200AW successfully into the Easyjet carry on size cage at an airport, I can rest easy and take it with me

They do have flexibility - as I said, they've never made me check the size of the bag.

It may not be "bitchy" as such, but they lack consistency - I've flown with other people, and my Vertex was fine but the guy I was with got all kinds of grief from the check in agent because his bag just a regular backpack "had dangerous loose straps" hanging off it! Not sure if you've ever seen a Vertex, but there's stuff hanging off it all over the place!!

Understand. I have the same dilemma with Kenya airlines. Was going to take my vertex 200 as it is just under there stated size ,but chickened out and taking my 200 slingshot and she who must be obeyed is take a small Canon bag with a few bits in.;) Less for me to carry:lol:

Kenya airways are o.k. I took 3 hand luggage last year and was not even questioned.

Advise is to put rucksack on back they never noticed mine, :D I amy have been lucky but you should have seen what the others were walking on with :bang:
