I took 20 or so shots (RAW) the other day, half a dozen of them in B + W.

When I import them to Lightroom it converts the black and white shots to colour as soon as I click on any image in the file to develop. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to prevent it?
 
The picture styles you select in your camera only apply to jpgs. The RAW shots are untouched. To get the B&W back, in the Develop module, near the top, click on the Greyscale button. Use the other sliders and controls to adjust to your taste.
