Just caught this as she was pulling on her jumper the other day, never really been into taking pics of people but quite like how this came out apart from the dadorail sticking out of her head. :bonk:

Any suggestions on how I could improve future people pics or any other comments good or bad appreciated.

Love the cheeky smile, or is it more "You're in trouble now matey!"

The only tip I would give would be to position your subject away from the background and use a wide aperture to blur it.

Nice fun photo with good eye-contact - yea shame about the background..but sometimes I guess this can't be helped with spur of the moment shots like this....

like fabs said a wide aperture will help to seperate your subject and background

dado rails are so last year, nice opportunistic shot though, totally natural, like it

Cheers guys, only have the kit lens atm but been experimenting with depth of field and will give it a wee try. On the plus side we will be redecorating soon and the dreaded dado rail will be gone.
