Am I the only one here who thinks its complete crap? Most people here can take a better photo than that. I don't care who took it, it aint worth that price.
Its more about the innovation than the result I guess - thing that surprised me most was that price for a pic that isnt even unique, believe it said there were 3 copies - of which two were owned by the museum, hence the reason for sale.
If I'm reading it right, it's the first ever colour photo taken - long before it was ever available, even to the military etc., so I can see it's appeal to collectors. Although the price seems ludicrous to us, the people who buy this stuff usually know what they're doing.
