Raw processing software for dummies?

Luminar is cheap and quite powerful. Also very easy to use. Then when he gains experience I'd say Affinity Photo.
Also ON 2019 is very good value and may be all he needs for a long time.

Thanks again everyone. Unfortunately I fear this may have been a futile thread.

Since I started it my mate has downloaded one program (I don't know which), tried and failed to install it, and not tried again.
