raw viewer windows 7

Who's using windows 7....seriously
When it says OS - Windows (all), It probably means the OS's that have actually been released.

Is there a raw converter for Vista yet...:D

Is has well kinda the RC :D Its great so far no bugs here

Hmmm, might actually be OSX :D

Anyway know of a RAW viewer for it? :D

Faststone Maxview works fine in Windows 7, though I'd recommend Windows XP still over Windows 7.

I'll have a look this evening, I'm running the latest Windows 7 RC on my Samsung NC-10.

Very good it is too by the way, runs as fast as XP on my wee 1GB ram netbook!

I am having the same issue with Windows 7, installed the Nikon NEF codec and nothing. Faststone Maxview tonight

What software is everyone using to view RAW files in windows 7?

Just trying this http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Graphic/Graphic-Viewers/Free-RAW-Viewer.shtml and it doesnt seem to work

I haven't tried Windows 7 and I'm happy running Vista (quite successfully, on two PCs and four laptops, without problems), but doesn't Canon's own Vista Raw Codec work? It's only 32 bit compatible though.

Or what about Zoombrowser or DPP or whatever you normally use for processing raw files - Photoshop/Bridge, Lightroom etc. etc.?

Windows 7 can view RAW files if you have a codec installed.

Most people seem to be running the 64 bit version of Windows 7, so if you need NEF, CR2, or DNG support you may want to consider one of our codecs.

The Windows 7 viewer is quite simple. The more fully featured Windows Photo Gallery was part of Vista, but now it's a seperate download under the name Windows Live Photo Gallery. http://download.live.com/photogallery

The only truly codec-enabled 64 bit viewer I am aware of with features aimed at pro photographers is Fast Picture Viewer.

Windows 7 runs at least as fast as XP on my NC-10. I don't see any reason why you would choose XP over W7 for a consumer PC.

Fair enough in a corporate environment, but that's not what we're talking about really :)
