Just got a couple of new (to me) lenses on the way with 67mm threads on them so I'm after a new reasonable priced filter. I know the two don't really go hand in hand but what are the better regarded out of the cheaper makes?

What's your budget? I see you can get a 67mm Hoya Pro1 from Amazon for about £40...
 
Don't know about budget really, I've just seen them from really cheap to over £100, I was just trying to gauge what would be the cheapest I could get away with without it being completely rubbish........I don't really shudder too much at £40 :)
 
I would not want to use anything that costs less than £40, I have used cheap filters in the past, and the images were far sharper without the filter fitted.
